The Psychology Post-Doctoral Fellowship Program in Clinical Health Psychology at Indiana University School of Medicine is a one-year program that trains clinical health psychologists with a specialty in serving a diverse and complex population of medically ill patients treated at the Advanced Heart and Lung Care Clinic at Indiana University Methodist Hospital.
The program emphasizes training in cardiac-pulmonary behavioral medicine and transplant psychology. Pre-transplant evaluations, individual psychotherapy, consultation-liaison services and group therapy interventions are part of the clinical protocol. As part of the IU Health transplant program, fellows may have the opportunity to do a specialty rotation in abdominal/ solid organ transplant at IU Health University Hospital. Also, fellows can train in both outpatient and medical inpatient settings conducting both evaluation and intervention services.
