IU School of Medicine Graduate Medical Education programs provide a balance of primary, secondary, tertiary and inpatient quarternary care; ambulatory care; emergency care; and community health. This is possible through five main affiliate hospitals and many prestigious research and care centers on the Indianapolis campus and across the state that are staffed by IU School of Medicine faculty.

IU School of Medicine offers a range of programs that lead to a Master’s degree or a PhD. Combined degree programs and doctoral minors are also available. The Graduate Division is the research arm of IU School of Medicine education programs and handles applications to the PhD, MS and certificates programs. Degrees are conferred by IU Graduate School.
